1. Company Information
The artworks presented on this website are promoted and sold by Carton Rouge, an international art agency representing the sculptor Steve Chaudanson.
Sales and project management are handled by:

2. Scope
These Terms and Conditions govern the sale of artworks, commissions, rentals, leasing services and artistic projects offered by Carton Rouge.
By purchasing an artwork or commissioning a project, the client agrees to these Terms and Conditions.
3. Nature of the Artworks
All artworks are original artistic creations by Steve Chaudanson.
Artworks may include:
- Unique sculptures
- Limited edition sculptures
- Artist proofs
- Custom commissions
- Monumental sculptures
- Artistic installations
Due to the handcrafted artistic process, slight variations in appearance, finish, dimensions or color may occur and are considered part of the artistic creation.
4. Limited Editions
Certain artworks are produced in limited editions.
Each edition may include:
- numbered pieces
- artist proofs (A.P.)
Once the edition is sold out, no additional pieces will be produced in the same format.
Carton Rouge reserves the right to produce different sizes or variations of the artwork.
5. Orders
Orders are confirmed only after:
- written confirmation by Carton Rouge
- receipt of the required deposit or full payment
Artworks presented on the website or catalogue remain subject to availability.
6. Pricing
Prices are expressed in Euros (€) unless otherwise specified.
Prices may exclude:
- transportation
- insurance
- installation
- customs duties
- local taxes depending on the buyer’s country
These costs will be calculated separately depending on the destination.
Carton Rouge reserves the right to modify prices without prior notice.
7. Payment Terms
Standard artworks
100% payment before shipment.
Custom commissions
- 50% deposit upon order
- 50% balance before delivery
Monumental projects
Payment schedules may be structured in phases depending on the scale of the project.
Accepted payment methods include:
- international bank transfer
- approved payment partners
8. Production Time
Production timelines depend on:
- artwork size
- complexity
- materials availability
- current production schedule
Estimated production times are provided upon order but remain indicative.
9. Delivery
Delivery is handled by specialized international art transport companies.
Transport may include:
- museum-grade packaging
- insured shipping
- professional installation for monumental pieces
Carton Rouge cannot be held responsible for delays caused by logistics providers, customs procedures or force majeure.
10. Risk Transfer
Risk transfers to the buyer upon delivery of the artwork to the transport carrier or upon reception depending on the delivery terms agreed.
11. Custom Commissions
For bespoke artworks:
- a deposit is required before production begins
- the client must validate the concept or design phase
- production starts only after validation
Deposits for custom works are non-refundable once production has started.
12. Monumental Projects
For monumental sculptures or large installations:
- technical studies may be required
- structural validation may be necessary
- installation conditions must comply with local regulations
Carton Rouge may collaborate with engineers, foundries and specialized installation partners.
13. Art Leasing and Rental
Carton Rouge may offer art rental or art leasing solutions for companies.
These solutions may allow companies to benefit from tax optimization depending on the legislation of their country.
Clients are responsible for verifying tax eligibility with their financial advisor.
14. Intellectual Property
All artworks remain the exclusive intellectual property of Steve Chaudanson.
The acquisition of an artwork grants ownership of the physical piece only.
It does not grant:
- reproduction rights
- licensing rights
- commercial use of the artwork image
Any reproduction requires prior written authorization.
15. Image Rights
Carton Rouge and Steve Chaudanson reserve the right to photograph artworks for:
- exhibitions
- catalogues
- press publications
- marketing communication
Unless otherwise agreed in writing.
16. Returns and Refunds
Due to the nature of original artworks and custom creations, all sales are final.
Returns are accepted only in cases of proven damage during transport.
17. Force Majeure
Carton Rouge shall not be held liable for delays or failure caused by events beyond its control including:
- natural disasters
- supply chain disruption
- geopolitical events
- strikes
18. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by French law.
Any dispute shall fall under the jurisdiction of the competent courts in France.

20. Artistic Design Protection
All artistic concepts, designs, techniques and visual styles developed by Steve Chaudanson are protected under international intellectual property laws.
In particular, the lamella steel sculpting technique represents the artist’s distinctive artistic signature.
Unauthorized reproduction, imitation or commissioning of similar works may lead to legal action.
21. Automotive and Brand-Inspired Creations
Certain artworks may be inspired by iconic automotive designs or motorsport culture.
These artworks are independent artistic interpretations and are not official products endorsed or licensed by automotive brands unless explicitly stated.
All trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
22. Monumental Sculpture Liability
For monumental artworks or installations:
- structural validation may be required
- installation must comply with local regulations
Once installed according to specifications, the client assumes responsibility for maintenance and environmental conditions.
Carton Rouge cannot be held responsible for damages caused by improper installation or maintenance.
23. Edition Protection
All limited editions are strictly controlled.
Each sculpture may include:
- numbered editions
- artist proofs
Carton Rouge guarantees that no additional pieces will be produced beyond the announced edition.
Unauthorized copies may constitute counterfeiting under international law.
24. Certificate of Authenticity & Provenance
Each artwork is delivered with a Certificate of Authenticity confirming:
- the authenticity of the work
- edition number (if applicable)
- materials
- production year
This certificate ensures the provenance and long-term value of the artwork.
25. Investment and Secondary Market
Artworks represented by Carton Rouge are part of the international contemporary art market.
Their value may evolve depending on:
- exhibitions
- international recognition
- collector demand
Carton Rouge does not guarantee financial returns but may assist collectors regarding the secondary market when appropriate.
26. VIP Collector & Private Commissions
Carton Rouge offers exclusive services for collectors, institutions and luxury brands including:
- bespoke sculptures
- monumental commissions
- private exhibitions
- artistic collaborations
Private commissions may require a dedicated agreement defining exclusivity, production and confidentiality conditions.
27. Collector Waiting List
Due to the limited nature of certain sculptures and collections, Carton Rouge may establish a Collector Waiting List.
Collectors registered on this list may receive:
- priority access to new collections
- early reservation opportunities for limited editions
- invitations to private previews
Registration does not guarantee allocation but provides priority consideration depending on availability.
28. Private Preview – Monaco Grand Prix & Special Events
Certain collections may be unveiled during private preview events organized by Carton Rouge, including exclusive presentations during events such as the Monaco Grand Prix or other international luxury gatherings.
Access to these events is by invitation only and reserved for collectors, partners and sponsors.
29. Priority Collectors Program
Carton Rouge may establish a Priority Collectors Program for collectors who actively support the artist’s work.
Benefits may include:
- early access to new collections
- priority acquisition opportunities
- invitations to private exhibitions and events
- access to bespoke commissions
Eligibility is determined by Carton Rouge based on collector engagement and acquisitions.
30. Anti-Speculation Clause
Carton Rouge promotes a long-term relationship between collectors and the artistic work of Steve Chaudanson.
Collectors agree not to purchase artworks solely for speculative purposes or immediate resale.
Carton Rouge reserves the right to refuse future sales to buyers engaging in speculative behavior that could harm the stability of the artist’s market.
31. Right of First Refusal (Resale)
If a collector wishes to resell an artwork originally acquired through Carton Rouge, the collector agrees to notify Carton Rouge in writing.
Carton Rouge shall have the right of first refusal to repurchase the artwork or assist in its resale through its collector network.
This helps preserve the provenance and integrity of the artwork market.
32. Artistic Scarcity Policy
Carton Rouge maintains a strict policy regarding the rarity and controlled distribution of artworks by Steve Chaudanson.
This policy includes:
- limited editions
- controlled production
- selective collector allocation
The objective is to preserve the artistic integrity and long-term value of the artist’s work.
Carton Rouge reserves the right to allocate certain works only to selected collectors, institutions or strategic partners.
